Hi Ashley, Congratulations on your new Full Length Album Soiled Soul & Rapture was released this week on August 11th.

Q. Can you tell us the highlights of Soiled Soul & Rapture such as the song tracks and their themes?

The themes of SSAR are basic moral dilemmas. Many of the songs deal with the deadly sins, such as greed, gluttony, and lust.

Q. Can you tell us what motivates you or inspires you to write lyrics are they mainly centered on social issues, relationships and life?

My lyrics are all over the place. There is a definite personal and overly honest side to the record as in "Raise no Fool" and "Holy Skirts." But many of the songs hint at honesty but are hidden in narrative. Other songs deal with issues like body image, sexual equality, and homophobia.

Q. Were there any challenges in the laying of the song tracks to the in studio recording process?

Everything went smoothly except I lost my voice at the end and wasn't allowed to talk for three days. That was a challenge.

Q. Who helped mix and master all the music production for Soiled Soul & Rapture?

Jon Congleton engineered and mixed our record at both Electrical Audio in Chicago and then Elmwood Studio in Dallas.

Q. So tell us a little about the current lineup do all the members share similar influences for their music and do they like to experiment and try new things to their sound?

We all have completely different taste in music. Of course their are bands that we all agree on and are inspired by. Joe can tell you everything you didn't want to know about Metallica. Dan loves more mathy hardcore and Paramore, Ryan's base is in hardcore. Chris loves dance driven soulful punk but still gets down to Metallica. And I love the occasional pop song but mainly listen to bands that are female fronted and Operation Ivy! We are all over the place.

Q. Who is the incredible Artist that completed the cover Album Art for Soiled Soul & Rapture?

Andy Dixon

Q. Is there a major tour planed for Red Knife Lottery to promote Soiled Soul & Rapture?

Yes. Details pending.

Q. What comes to mind as being the bands favorite music venue or place to play and if the band had to tour anywhere in the world what country do they want to travel to?

Nothing compares to playing at home in Milwaukee. We would love to tour Japan.

Q. Can you tell us about your new first video Junkie Jazz where on location was this video filmed at and who helped with the production of this video such as the storyboarding props and make up?

The video was shot in Milwaukee by Travis Auclair and directed by Travis Huss. The costuming was done by Jen Freitag and myself. Makeup was done by Aja Vines and Dana Dufek.

Q. Will you be producing any more music videos off of your new Album Soiled Soul & Rapture?

We hope to but nothing set in stone.

Q. What is the main focus for the band for the remainder of 2009 such as goals that the band wants to accomplish?

We want to tour like crazy. We have also been doing a lot of writing and will be ready to record a new EP soon.

Thank you Ashely for this interview I would also like to send thanks to Jerry of Warm Fuzzy Pr . Horns High you rock. HMTV Canada.
